A battle with Nagayoshi Miyoshi and Takamasa Hatakeyama that there was fight (fight of the Kyoko maggot) of Kyoukoji (1562) near Takayasu, Kawachi county Kyoukoji-mura (current Kyokouji, Yao-shi, Osaka) on both days of 20th on May 19 for Eiroku era five years. Nagayoshi Miyoshi image

It was the corner of Muromachi Shogunate three governor-generals as well as Miyoshi government and Hosokawa who were the growing power which collapsed the Hosokawa Administration by social upheaval, and this fight was the last decisive battle of a series of fights that Kawachi Hatakeyama of the former power opposed for many years competed for over hegemony of area near Kyoto.

It was the fight that Nagayoshi Miyoshi of the growing power and Takamasa Hatakeyama of the old power concentrated all of each other's power, and, in 長慶, this fight was able to remove resistance of the former power of area near Kyoto by winning. In addition, I placed Kawachi, Izumi under power, and, in 長慶, it was a one who reigns over the whole country by having succeeded in infiltrating power to Yamato, Kii. However, in 長慶, it was a big serious injury in the Miyoshi government by having lost Jikkyu Miyoshi who was Masanori Miyoshi who was the influential person of the whole families, a true younger brother in this fight.

Situation before the battle

Hatakeyama dominated it as the Kawachi protection from the early days of the Muromachi era, but I was often pressed including neighboring country Settsu by 長慶 which was the protection such as Awa and Awaji, Sanuki when it was the age of civil strife.

Takamasa fixed the control of the local people feudal lord and gathered up influential many generals such as sect bunch or the Tadashi Yukawa light and was opposed to 長慶.

The suggestion of the military alliance of 長慶挟撃 was accomplished from Yoshikata Rokkaku (承禎) of Oomi there (1561) for Eiroku era four years by Takamasa. 三好頼澄 (みよしよりずみ) is a military commander of the age of civil strife. A vassal of Hosokawa.

A child of Yukinaga Miyoshi. 三好宗渭 which shows power in another view as one of the Miyoshi three people people later as for the child.

I served Nagahide and Sumimoto Hosokawa of father and the oldest brother. I fought against Takakuni Hosokawa, Yoshioki Ouchi and others according to father for Kyoto recapture (1509) in June for Eisho era six years, but I lost and flighted with Nagahide of the older brother in Ise Yamada (Ise-shi, Mie) (fight of priest's staff ヶ 嶽). But I received an attack of Kichika Kitabatake who was a kinsman to a high country here and was driven into the suicide with Nagahide [¹].

Shinichiro Tokunaga

Shinichiro Tokunaga (とくながしんいちろう, from June 1, 1914 to December 5, 2001) is a history novelist. A former Mainichi Shimbun editorial department advisor. The real name 德永眞一 [¹].

Career

I am born in Hanzancho, Ayauta-gun, Kagawa (current Marugame-shi). I graduate from old system Takamatsu Junior High School (existing Kagawa Prefectural Takamatsu Senior High School).

Mainichi Shimbun enters the company in 1940. I successively held the Mainichi Shimbun Tottori Branch Chief, Otsu Branch Chief, student newspaper editing director's post. "The boy three will" that I published serially in the student newspaper editorial department during being on the register roll was filmized by Toei.

I win Eiji Yoshikawa Prize in (1964) in 1964. I retire at 55 years old in (1969) in 1969. I worked as the managing director in Lake Biwa broadcasting station in four years until (1975) in 1975 from (1971) in 1971. I die because of pneumonia in 2001. Age at death 87.
