Emmet トッピーノ (Martin Emmett Toppino, from July 1, 1909 to September 8, 1971) is a former track-and-field athlete of the United States of America. He won a gold medal by a boy 4*100m relay race of the Los Angeles Olympics held in 1932.

Career

トッピーノ was over in the fourth place by a 100 meters race in a representative from Los Angeles Olympics United States of America last selection meeting of 1932 and missed entering representative in this item. On the other hand, I am chosen as the member of a 4*100m relay race and will participate in the Olympics.

As for 4*100m relay race of the Los Angeles Olympics, the Los Angeles memorial Colosseum was carried out as a meeting place on August 6, 1932 and August 7. A representative from eight countries team participated in this item. The representative from United States of America team consisted of Robert key cell, Hector die yeah, the member called Frank ワイコフ other than him, and トッピーノ was left the second runner to.

The representative from United States of America team came first in world record at the time and 41.22 seconds when it was in the first group and, in a qualifier of August 6, went into the final on the next day [1]. Shortened a record more in the final of August 7, and controlled a representative Germany team (40.9 seconds) of the second place, Azzurri (41.2 seconds) of the third place by a new world record of 40.0 seconds, and carried out gold medal acquisition [2]; [3].

トッピーノ acquired a degree of chemistry in the graduates of the ロヨラ University New Orleans school at the university. He was a member of the student friendship society ベガーズ fraternity (Beggars Fraternity) of the ロヨラ University. I die afterwards in New Orleans of the cloth in 1971.
