The Ota City Joto junior high school (おおたしりつじょうとうちゅうがっこう) is a public junior high school in Ota-shi, Gunma. A graduate has Ryosuke Sakatsume of the short track speed skating representative from Japan of the Sochi Olympics.

The post town of the country going out of power where the Koganei hotel (こがねいしゅく, こがねいじゅく) was established at Nikko Highway (sunlight journey) and Oshu Highway (route to Tohoku district from Edo) in the Edo era. I am equivalent to current Koganei, Shimotsuke-shi, Tochigi. It is a the 14th post town from Edo, Nihonbashi of Nikko Highway.

Summary

The management of the post town was Mibu feudal clan at first, but Sakura feudal clan carried it again after (1799) for Shogunate, generous politics 11 years after (1787) for Shimousa Sakura feudal clan, Tenmei era seven years after (1763) for Shogunate, age of an emperor 13 years after (1696) for Genroku era nine years. It unfolded in the north side of the Koganei station square intersection along current National highway No. 4 and consisted of downtown area, Nakamachi, Kamimachi from the south (Edo side). According to "日光道中宿村大概帳 of (1843)," in one Honjin, one subsidiary inn for daimyo's attendants was established for Tenpo era 14 years, and there were 43 trip baskets. Number of houses 165 houses, the population in the hotel were 767 people [1].

There is the pond of the spring called Koganei near, and the place name called "Koganei" comes from the tradition "that gold came out to from the pond which it did not die at the time of drought either". This well caused the name of a village called "Imura Kim" and became "small amount of money Imura" later. (than Tenpo era 14 years .1843 age making and an estimated "sunlight journey sketchy description") [2]

It was an old post town from the past, and a village was formed from the 15th to the 16th century in the Edo era and was called "Okuoodo" namely "Kanai hotel" of the Kamakura Highway moderation (and I rise) ("lotus line temple documents"). [3]
