It is a town belonging to the Kennebec county near the United States of America Maine downstate Coast and a national census designation area, and there is the Win throw (Win's low British: Winslow) along Kennebec river. It was a population of 7,794 people in the national census of 2010

History
Originally the Win throw was a place of residence of the Indians named an octopus knock. With the third visitor that the Benjamin Church left for the east from Boston in 1692 at the time of the King William War, I went along this area. This visitor had 450 people and attacked the village of the Indian whom there was for ペノブスコット (キャスティン) and current Win throw [4].
A pioneer of the Plymouth Colony moved to the later Win throw. This area was land disposed of from the British Royal Family by governor-general William Bradford of pill Grimm and the group. By the Win throw, the State of Maine's greatest fireworks display is held every year in American Independence Day of July 4.

Education
The Win throw belongs to the State of Maine education management school district 92nd, and there are three public school buildings and four schools in total including the elementary school of private Roman Catholic Church origin in the town. A warden of the education management school district 92nd runs the education system, and the warden lives in the adjacent water building city. The Win throw high school took the repair budget for 9 million dollars and was completed in 2008.
