Brief career history
Organization - contract
Martin Johnson who had ever belonged to the band called "The Drive/Fake ID" in December, 2005 provoked Brian Donahue and John knee feh, and a band was formed in the form that I brought John last in pole デジオバンニ by the band. To "Purevolume" of the site specialized in a lock, uploaded two pieces of "The Great Escape" and "Thunder(acoustic)" of the demonstration music immediately, but popularity rushes in the exceptional melody sense afterwards; the audition number of times is acquisition with the first place in a label non-contract band. I am found by "Matt Galle" of the famous engineer who fixed on the popular yellowtail, "Matt Squire" and others two and succeed in making a contract with Sony BMG of the major measure.
Debut album "Boys Like Girls"
I perform U.S. tour in February, 2006 and release debut album "Boys Like Girls" where oneself named in August of the year afterwards. I recorded the up to 55th place in U.S. billboard album chart, and the sale total exceeded 580,000 pieces, too. Second single "The Great Escape" from this album still has high popularity as their representative music.
In June, 2007, I participate in festival "Vans Warped Tour 2007" of the the United States's biggest punk rock, and the request number of times by "the total request live" that MTV hosts in July of the year glistens with the first place.
In December, 2008, I perform a 40-minute concert at a secondary school (5-8 years student to say in Japan) in Indiana.
"Love Drunk"
In August, 2009, I appear in "SUMMER SONIC 09" [1].
And I release 2nd album "Love Drunk" in September of the year. I make a profit of 44,000 pieces and record the up to eighth place in U.S. billboard album chart a week. In first single "Love Drunk from this album," it was a hit to sparkle in プラチナムソング in the United States, but what "Somebody Told Me" and a chorus part of the killers closely resembled had it pointed out by some critics, and it was a topic. By the way, Ashley ティスデイル appears to a music video as the leading role. Duet music with Taylor Swift announced successively, "Two Is Better Than One" record the up to 18th place with U.S. singles chart, and it is the hit number to shine to プラチナムソング.
Withdrawal of Brian, 3rd album "Crazy World"
2011 began and it was indefinite activity dormancy, but Martin tweeted in Twitter saying "Boys like girls come back" and announced that I started the production of the 3rd album later for a while in November of the year. Brian of the bassist withdraws from a band at the same time. Brian did not expect withdrawal by oneself and announced that a band was sent without a decision right by oneself. (it is a main reason that difference, Brian of the musicality were absorbed in a side project too much, but knows a lot ignorance.)
The band which added Morgan newly is fully prepared on December 11, 2012 and releases 3rd album "Crazy World". The product becomes the self-produce work by Martin now. I record the first appearance 134th place in U.S. billboard album chart. It followed that I fell much below it than a previous work for selling it.
Characteristic
There is much pro-pop song to develop slightly sweet-sour youth sound to a weapon in an overwhelming melody sense and a transparent clear voice of Martin music. In addition, it was felt to be strong in influence from so-called "エモ" 1st album "Boys Like Girls", but lock-like more pop musical pieces increase in 2nd album "Love Drunk".
