Overview

The station name is derived from being the entrance to the old center (present · Aki Takada city Yoshida-cho).

The station is located about 1 km south of Hiroshima station, which is the entrance to the actual Yoshida-cho. This is because we considered to build a branch line to Yoshida-cho.

The station itself is small, and it is also far from the center district of Yoshida-cho.

In the past, a part of the express train had been stopped, but as soon as the express train runs, all the trains have passed, and now the rapid "Miyoshi Liner" has also passed.

Aki Takada city was the representative station of the city when it was launched. (Currently, Aki Takada City Hall Hall is in charge of the central station.)

history

Although the construction of the entertainment railway was planned with the route which does not go through the center which is due to the technical circumstances, Yoshida cho strongly urged construction of the railroad by the route passing through Yoshida Town as a matter concerning the existence of the town . Although Yoshida Town showed multiple alternative route proposals, it was technically difficult for them to finish. Finally, it was decided to set up a station at the entrance of Yoshida-cho, and the station built a branch line to Yoshida-cho in the future We approved railway construction on a route not going through Yoshida Town on condition that it should be installed south so as to be easy, and this station was set up.

Extension plan to Yoshida area

As mentioned above, this station was not only installed as an entrance station to Yoshida-cho, but was intended to become a branch station of the route to the future Yoshida direction.

When it was revised, the railroad from the station to Yoshida Town became the planned line. After that, although it aimed at laying the railroad in this section (2 years), it was established, but it did not reach construction.

Station structure

It has 1 side 2 lines, and you can make train mistakes. The station building on the west side of the track is named "Pratt House" in collaboration with meeting place. It was not Old · Yoshida Town but the Old · which built this station building, and local people manage it. From the station building to the home, we are in contact at the level railroad crossing.

Although it is in control, it is currently in a state because it is closed. The time to resume is undecided.
