Characteristic
The body has a somewhat flattened cylindrical shape, and its rear end is especially flat. The length is about 100 millimeters, but there are cases where it reaches 300 millimeters. The front suction cup is large, its length occupies up to the sixth body ring. It is very wide. Jaws and fangs used to suck body fluids with other groupings' hills are missing. The post-suction cup is small, there are also individuals to complete. Is opened behind the rear suction cup, just behind the last body ring.
The widths of the body rings are all the same, and one body segment has eight body rings. There are one pair, the foremost back of the body, on both sides on the second body ring.
