Texel(: texel) is the basic unit of the texture space used in. textureabbreviation for element, or texture pixel stands for. The texture is represented by an array of texels such that the image (picture) is represented by an array of texels.
When placing a texture on a three-dimensional surface (), maps the texel to the corresponding pixel in the output image. Recently, this operation is implemented above.
When the texel should not be positioned (exactly does not correspond to pixel), apply.
Clamping and wrapping
If texels outside the texture are needed, use a combination of the two techniques. Clamping Restricts texels to the size of the texture, and the texel at the position where the texture protrudes moves to the nearest texel. Wrapping Determines texels by incrementing (in texture size units). In wrapping, the texture is repeatedly spread and it becomes only one in clamping.
