Born in . Go to The Bronx High School of Science. I graduate from 1954 (B.A., summa cum lude). Take M.A. in 1956. Studied as a research student from 1956 to 1957 (). 1957 - 1958 Become a full-time lecturer at the Columbia University economics department. In 1958, I get from Harvard University. From 1958 to 1959 I received the David A. Wealth Award from Harvard University (Asset Markets, Exchange and Economic Integration, with Polly Allen). Becomes Assistant Professor of Columbia University from 1958 to 1961. Become a member of "Foreign Economic Policy President Task Force" in 1960. Becomes Associate Professor of Columbia University from 1961 to 1964. Become a consultant of the Economic Advisory Council in 1961. It will be a consultant from 1961 to 1968 (after that, 1978 to 1980, 1995 to 1996, 1998 to 1999).
