4C (Diamond)

4C(Forty, yea,: four Cs) is an international standard for evaluating cut quality of jewelry.

Evaluate from 4 points of (color color), (clarity clarity), (carat), (cut cut) and abbreviate from 4C of each.

Overview

Established. It is established as an international standard to evaluate. This 4C is described in the "expert opinion" of diamond.

4C respectively

Color (color)

It is judged based on the master stone (reference stone). The closer to colorless, the higher the evaluation is made. On the contrary, the evaluation falls as the color of yellow is on. However, there are also diamonds in pink and blue, and their colors may be evaluated higher than colorless in some cases. The maximum is D, the following 23 stages from E, F, G … Z. The following is a guideline of color.

• DEF: colorless transparent
• GHIJ: almost colorless
• KLM: Faint yellow
• N - R: Very light yellow
• S - Z: Light Yellow

Transparency (Clarity)
