Summit county (Utah)

A summit county (British: Summit County) is a county located in the northern part of United States of America Utah. It was 36,324 people, and the population in the 2010 national census increased from 29,736 people of 2000 by 22% [1]. County seat is [3], the county that are Kohl Building city (a population of 1,363 people [2]), and a town of the population maximum is a park city city (a population of 7,558 people [4]). I was established in 1854, and the county name was named for there being mountain 38 peak of high altitudes in Utah. The county is occupied in the rocky mountaineering club, and it is in the second highest county any place other than Colorado where the mean altitude is 8,388 feet (2,557m) [5].

Political

The qualified voter of the summit county shows a considerably high turnout to the Democratic Party in held election recently in comparison with an area other than Utah. In United States of America presidential election of 2000 and 2004, George W. Bush won a summit county after a close battle, but was a lowest acquisition rate in the state. For example, in the United States of America member of the Upper House election of 2006, it was in the only county that Pete Ashdown of the Democratic ticket won, and republican present post オリン hatch overwhelmed it at the rate of two to one in the whole state. The most of the government official chosen in election are Democrats in 郡政, and four people are Democrats among five committees of summit 郡郡政委員会.

By the referendum of the bill to forbid marriage of the same sex performed in 2004, in the summit county, it was one of two counties that objected to this with a grand county [8]. Even the ratio among the population of the member of Latter-day Saint Jesus Christ church is the second lowest next to a grand county in the state [9].

It became the sixth local government in Utah by having forbidden it to discriminate against the employment and a dwelling house based on a personal sexual point or a gender identity in June, 2010 [10].
